TidBITS Talk Discussion List

TidBITS Talk is a public discussion list that focuses on issues surrounding TidBITS. Our goal is to open a public channel of communication between TidBITS readers and staff members for the benefit of all.

It's important to us that TidBITS Talk not degenerate into yet another high volume discussion list. Discussions are restricted to topics that are in some way related to TidBITS. Generally acceptable topics include:

Questions about a TidBITS article
Comments on TidBITS articles
Suggestions for future TidBITS articles
Staff questions while researching articles for TidBITS
Meta discussions of TidBITS itself
Anything else we feel is appropriate to post

In the same vein, the following types of messages are not acceptable:

Spam, chain mail, virus warnings, or attachments (posting these is grounds for removal)
Press releases, commercial notices, or Web site announcements
Questions asking whether TidBITS has covered a topic in the past (use the search engine on our Web site - that's what we'd do)
Questions relating to your TidBITS subscription (send email to subscriptions@tidbits.com instead)
Random Macintosh technical support questions (ask on a general Macintosh discussion group, such as one of the comp.sys.mac.* newsgroups)
Me-too postings after a question has been answered
Anything else we feel is inappropriate for posting
