NetBITS Advertising

NetBITS was a free, weekly, electronic publication that provided practical Internet information from September of 1997 through February of 1998. Its content now appears in TidBITS, the flagship newsletter of TidBITS Electronic Publishing. A postmortem appeared in TidBITS 479.

NetBITS publishes two types of advertising: banner ads that appear within issue text and classified ads that appear at the end of an issue. We publish one issue per week, on Thursday night.

Banner Ads - Ad banners can promote your company, products, services, and brand. In the email version of NetBITS, sponsors receive three lines of text in which to present company contact information, slogans, special promotions, and so on. In the Web version of NetBITS, advertisements appear as Web banners, located between articles (you supply a 468 x 60 GIF image, or we'll convert your email text to a GIF). We sell ads in blocks of impressions, and we'd love to chat with you about your Internet marketing plans and how NetBITS might fit with them. Classified Ads - Classified ads consist of two lines of text - the first for your message; the second for your URL. Classified ads cost $100 and you must use a credit card to pay for them. Payments take place over the Web through the secure servers provided by Kagi, an online payment processing service. To set up a classified ad, start by filling out the form below. When we receive your filled out form, we'll check it over, and - if it's ready to go - we'll point you to the correct location on Kagi's Web server, where you can complete the transaction. Ads must be submitted no later than a full week before the issue in which you want to appear (issues come out every Thursday night).
